Profile Introduction

MathWiz offers math help for children aged 6 to 12 years of age. Math help is given by qualified teachers who are trained, qualified and well able to make math problems simple and easy to understand. Students who come to our centre have math lessons for two hours a week. Each student is given customized math worksheets that build and seal their understanding. Whilst some systems boasts of a right brain approach, we believe that math practice will result in pattern recognition which in turn builds mental dexterity resulting in the whole brain development.

Our founders, Mr. T. H. Chow and Ms. J. Yeong have a vision to help children understand math and enable children can build critical thinking skills as well as creative problem solving skills. Number crunching is no longer sufficient as such tasks can easily be performed by calculators, computers and other software programmes. MathWiz has, over the years, helped children excel in their school math tests as well as major national examinations like the UPSR and PMR.

Mr. Chow possesses a post-graduate degree in Engineering from the University of Sheffield while Ms. Yeong holds an MBA from the University of Hull-UK and is a TESOL trained English language teacher. Together they have more than 30 years of teaching experience in colleges and universities.

To help students achieve As in Math, thus building self-esteem and confidence in themselves. With confidence and a healthy self image, they will not be afraid to take on challenges for continuous improvement.
